Tak Chee House is sun authentic Malaysian foodie experience at a great price. There is no fuss: you order, get great food at a great price, enjoy and leave. The Hainanese chicken is outstanding and the satay wonderful. I loved everything we ordered! A must do Perth foodie experience.

Tak Chee is known for its fantastic yet affordable Hainanese chicken rice in Perth. While their Hainanese chicken rice is a must-try, I'd also recommend the flavorsome curry laksa. The restaurant's ambiance is modest and straightforward, reflecting its long-standing presence since 1987. Service can vary based on how busy they are, but the staff is generally friendly and easygoing. If you crave traditional Malaysian Chinese food in an unpretentious setting, Tak Chee is a great choice.

Entree was nice the dipping sauce was great. The Tom yum was strong and I didn’t expect it so I should’ve chose noodles instead of rice but also because the rice could have been better unfortunately so I didn’t really enjoy my meal that much. The drink was interesting our first time trying sour plum and I liked it more than my gf. The second meal was good. The vibe of this place didn’t sit well with me either it made me anxious. Might give it another go and my review might increase.

A personal & family favourite for when we come to Perth! Absolutely love the staff, they’re so friendly & attentive to your asks & needs. MUST ORDER: - okra (either sambal or garlic) with prawns. We ordered the garlic & it was DELICIOUS 9/10 Other things we had: - hainan chicken rice 7/10 - combo hor fun with egg sauce 6/10 - penang loh bak 6/10 We came in around 6.45PM just before the dinner rush, perhaps good to make bookings where you can for big groups too.

the best and most authentic Malaysian dishes in Perth. They had been there for such a long time. Price and food quality is reasonable. Top pick up is Char Kwe Tiau and Steamed Hainamese Chicken.

Winner! Winner! Hiananese Chicken Dinner! If you are looking for Malaysian/Singaporean style chicken rice, try Tak Chee House. Thick pieces of chicken, bean sprouts and rice flavoured with chicken fat. Terrific sambal/chilli sauce and yummy kang kong. Authentic atmosphere of over-loved tables, chairs and wall décor. Bustling customers and cheerful staff. We were told the cook is from Penang. Hurrah! Definitely not Asian prices but worth it for the best/most realistic chicken rice we have had since arriving in Perth 3 years ago. We can recommend Tak Chee House.

Chicken rice 10/10, but everything else was just ok. Prawns in hokkien Mee was not fresh. Come here for the chicken rice - chili, fragrant rice and succulent chicken.

It is indeed a small Malaysian restaurant attracts a devoted daily crowd for its down to earth, home-style food. The venue is nothing fancy with simple decor. Service is friendly and efficient. The signature dish here is Hainanese chicken rice and They serve up one of the best versions in Perth. Other favorites on the menu include Mee Goreng, Kuay Teow, Hokkien Fried Noodles, Roti Canai, and Curry Laksa. All popular and all delicious. Also keep an eye out for the daily specials.
